Anime LA is occuring from the 8th of January to the 10th of January 2010. Early registration for the convention can be made at this link for 25US$; prices will increase in the coming months. Right now, early registration also gives a person access to the 7th of January, Day 0 events.

ALA is being hosted this year at the Marriot right next to the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Prices for the Hotel with the con discount are 120US$ per room, per night. The hotel discount code is ANIANIA. Depending on how many people we have, we will probably have to get two to three rooms. The most that can be fit into a singular (one king-size bed or two double beds) room is normally about six at relative comfort.

When I was in university, I worked in a research lab alternatively filing papers and writing sentences for a professor who was also a criminal court judge. The job description was "looking for aspiring law student to organize lab". I needed the money, but that job made me feel... really tired. I think he just liked to give people bad sentences. He did not care if they were guilty or not.
